Worsted yarns hardly pilling, as the fiber used to make them is much longer than the fiber used for carded yarns. To increase their resistance, these can be subjected to successive and important twists that also increase their recovery at the fold. A worsted yarn is therefore softer and finer, suitable for clothing that wants to be more sober and more elegant.
